River tells the story

Probably, passion to travel - one of the most ancient instincts inherited by us from ancestors.
At the beginning of times hunters left for horizon in searches of extraction. Them pushed in a way not only necessity, but also desire to see unknown territories, to learn novel. One have never returned back … Others - tired, covered with wounds, but happy, brought with itself not only the extracted treasures, but also strange histories about the surprising places, new knowledge …

In those days the world was simultaneously and more limited, and more boundless, than now.
There were no today's technical opportunities, but there were no also borders in today's understanding. Border of the world the horizon was only. Means of transportation - foots or hoofs of horses.
But other way was also. A sail and kiel. The ships were sent both in military campaigns, and in trading expeditions - the goods, furs, slaves exchanged on silver, pearls or amber.

From the past - by today

«Panorama Dvina Daugava» is modern sights from the point of view of cultural - cognitive tourism.
Cultural tourism here is the means giving an opportunity of new meetings and an exchange by opinions, ideas. 
We have made only the sketch of a picture. It is necessary to add to it of bright paints, details … Prospects for this purpose set.
It is certain base information for those who simply is interested in a history of native territory, or for those who is going to go on an old way «From Varangians to the Greeks» which recently has been included in number of the European cultural routes.

Our project «Panorama Dvina Daugava»
is directed on helping inhabitants of region, local authorities with search of contacts and adjustment of mutual relations with other countries and peoples, first of all in Europe.
